From a simple frustration to a platform connecting communities worldwide
It all started at a KDD (Korean Designers and Developers) meetup—a vibrant non-profit community where creatives and technologists gather to share ideas, collaborate, and network.
The energy was incredible, and while exchanging LinkedIn profiles was straightforward, we noticed it took quite a bit of time. Standing in circles, pulling out our phones one by one to scan QR codes—it worked, but we couldn't help wondering if there was a better way. What if we could connect with everyone in the room more efficiently and still have time for meaningful conversations?
"What if there was a way to share our profiles with everyone at once, so we could spend more time connecting and less time scanning?"
What if instead of exchanging profiles one-by-one, we could share them all at once? What if everyone in the room could instantly see each other's profiles without the friction?
That's when SocialMeshHub was born—inspired by the concept of a mesh network, where every node connects to multiple others, creating a web of connections rather than isolated links.
20 people = 190 individual QR code scans
